If a child has been able in her play to give up her whole loving being to the world around her, she will be able, in the serious tasks of later life, to devote herself with confidence and power to the service of the world.

Kindergarten

The task of education in the first six years is to help the child develop physically in a healthy way, especially to protect and stimulate the developing senses. This provides a sound foundation for the future development of the child's social, academic, and spiritual life.

Our Kindergarten educators create an environment in which the young child feels secure and loved. They provide order and purpose in practical activities, set boundaries and help to bring harmony between children.

Children at this age feel secure when they experience the certainty of a rhythmic daily life in a warm and loving atmosphere, and the many Kinder activities flow with a reassuring rhythm which reflects the rhythms of the natural world. From the quiet moments of fairy tales and morning circle, to the active moments of vigorous work, play, and visits to the neighboring farm, the rhythmic life is supported. Preparing for a special festival at the end of each term builds anticipation and adds to the enjoyment of each season.
